Dejaun tweaked the lighting some more and it's really starting to look nice :)

A Sneak Peak for this Friday

This Friday, April 29th, will be the Advanced Time Based class show at the Arena Grand Theatre starting at 2:30. Here is a sneak peak of the 3D animatic I am working on. Click on the image below to see the animatic.

Working on the Lighting

Here is a quick shot of the lighting Dejaun is working on for the film. Still working on it and trying to finesse it. It looks a bit too even and overcast right now but we will get it :)

Elephant Ears

A delicious sugary snack but here I am referring to the nCloth of my elephant. It has been a struggle to get these babies to work and not slow down my scene. I found a good solution I think.

I Broke Him

I have been having issues with my elephant rig as you can see below.




It was a spine issue that I used my problem solving skills and Charlotte resources to fix :) Below is a beautiful picture of my Elephants baby blues. I plan to have Dejaun tweak them so that the pupil is a bit larger and sharper, and the iris a bit smaller.

The Bird is Getting Fuzzed

Here are pictures of Dejaun's textures for the bird. They are not finished yet but I love seeing the bird with color and cute and fuzzy! He is going to adjust the blues so they aren't so different and the beak is more of a darker orange but the light is kind of washing it out.

Environment Is Coming Along Nicely

Some Elephant Expressions

I completed the skinning with some difficulty. This is only my second time skinning and first time making it actually function! I've also finished up all of the blend shapes for the Elephants expressions. Here are some simple ones.

Elephant Rig

Here is where I am at with the elephant rig. I had to put it on hold for a bit to get the animatic squared away. I will be posting that soon.

The Bird Rig

I have my friend Wes Adams working on the bird rig. Here is where he is at with that.

Look How It Sparkles!!

Alec has been working on the water for the pond/lake thing. I wanted it to be more stylized and opaque than water. I love how blue it looks! He is going to try and tone down the waves also.

3D Environment Model

Here is the model of the environment thus far. It has been a collaborative project between myself and Alec Lewis. It may not look like much but it will make more sense once its finished and has textures.

Bird Model and More Good News!

Here is the finished bird model! I really like how he turned out!

The other good news is that I found a composer that is very excited to be working with me on my film!
